The stars of pro bono were celebrated at the recent LawWorks Annual Pro Bono Awards and lecture held at Linklaters and sponsored by LexisNexis and the Law Society. The winners included: Children’s Pro Bono Legal Service, formed by Allen & Overy, Coram Children’s Legal Centre and DLA Piper (pro bono partnership); Emma Williams Family Law (small firm); and Hilton Worldwide (in-house team). The winners in the firms categories were Muckle, DLA Piper and Duncan Lewis. DLA Piper’s Jennifer Deakin won best individual, Allen & Overy’s Maeve Hanna won the Junior Lawyers Division award and LawWorks Cardiff Pro Bono Employment Clinic won the LawWorks Cymru Award.
