The fourth cohort of Law Society social mobility ambassadors has been appointed.

Among the 2021 ambassadors is solicitor Qalid Mohamed, who arrived in the UK aged 11 from Somalia, with no knowledge of the English language and no formal education. Mohamed said he hoped to ‘encourage others to appreciate that they too can realise their potential, regardless of their background or their schooling’.

The 13 ambassadors will work with the Law Society and with schools, universities and non-profit organisations to promote social mobility in the legal profession. The full list of ambassadors for 2021 can be found here.
