The Law Society has appointed Julia Bateman as head of its international department.

Julia joins from the Law Society’s Brussels office bringing experience to the role which involves representing the profession internationally and providing practical support, information and advice for firms working abroad and solicitors exploring opportunities overseas.

President John Wotton says: “Julia’s lobbying experience and knowledge of key issues affecting solicitors’ interests is crucial. She will play a leading role in developing relations with members at home and abroad.”
