Judicial Appointments Commission: Psychiatrist wanted

The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) is looking for a psychiatrist to serve as a fee-paid medical member on the First-Tier Tribunal Health Education and Social Care Chamber (Mental Health)

The tribunal decides whether patients should be compulsorily detained or discharged, as well as matters of guardianship and community treatment orders. Applicants should have three years’ experience as a consultant psychiatrist.

The Judicial Diversity Committee will hold an online seminar via Microsoft Teams on 28 July at 16.30-18.00 for eligible medical practitioners interested in applying.
