Where judgment is entered on a part admission and the residue of the claim is defended...

Where judgment is entered on a part admission and the residue of the claim is defended, is the part admission registrable under the Register of Judgments, Orders and Fines Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/3595)?

All judgments except exempt judgments must be registered. Judgment on an admission for part of the claim is not exempt. It matters not that the balance of the claim is being defended. If the defendant makes no admission and judgment is ultimately given against him on a contested hearing, the judgment will be exempt from registration unless and until it is enforced.
