Mediation and arbitration services provider JAMS is opening centres in New York and Los Angeles.

The new JAMS International Arbitration Centers (JIACs) are scheduled to open by the end of this year. JAMS is also able to host arbitration proceedings administered by other international providers.

Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO, said: ‘The opening of JIACs in New York and Los Angeles comes at a time when we see an upward trend in international arbitrations being held at JAMS.

‘The demand for accessible, comfortable venues for international arbitration proceedings cannot be overstated, and by establishing these centres in two of the world’s top business and travel centres, we aim to provide attorneys access to the tools and services necessary to conduct these proceedings in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.’
