PJS v News Group Newspapers Ltd [2016] UKSC 26, [2016] All ER (D) 135 (May)

The Supreme Court allowed the appellant celebrity’s appeal against the discharge of an interim injunction pending proceedings for breach of confidence and invasion of privacy. On the basis of the case law, the fact that there had been significant internet and social media coverage, and limited hard-copy publication outside the jurisdiction, which already invaded the privacy of the appellant and his family, was not decisive.
