Emergency legal aid schemes for people faced with repossession are to be created in an additional 20 county courts, the Legal Services Commission has announced. The move comes after Council of Mortgage Lenders statistics showed a sharp increase in repossessions. The Housing Possession Court Duty Schemes allow anyone in danger of eviction or having property repossessed to get free legal advice and representation.
