Actual and potential employment tribunal claims passed to employment relations service ACAS for conciliation rose by a quarter (24.9%) on last year, new figures show. Despite the rise, however, ACAS exceeded its performance targets for the year, according to its 2007–08 annual report. The report shows that conciliation reduced the potential workload of employment tribunals by 75%.
