Silk joins chambers

Matrix has announced that Gavin Millar QC is joining them from Doughty Street Chambers. Gavin has a wide ranging practice covering media, public and employment law. He undertakes defamation, privacy, contempt and reporting restriction cases and acts for most of the UK major media organisations. Gavin has been described as “amongst the most influential people in the media.” Gavin has recently been acting for The Sun in the defamation case between the newspaper and Andrew Mitchell, the former Tory chief whip.

Gavin’s arrival further bolsters the media, employment and sports law teams at Matrix which have grown over the last year with the addition of Nicholas Randall QC from Devereux last month and the arrival of Anthony Hudson, Guy Vassall-Adams and Ben Silverstone from Doughty Street Chambers last year.
