Kroll Global Fraud Report is published

Two-thirds of professional services firms, such as law firms, were affected by fraud in the last 12 months, according to the 2013 Kroll Global Fraud Report published this week. Cases where cyber criminals have attacked the work e-mails of lawyers, accountants and wealth managers are on the rise. Fraudsters can then impersonate them, pose questions to their client or obtain confidential information. A senior executive was a leading participant in the fraud in four out of 10 cases involving professional firms.
