Fladgate—Milan Kapadia

Partner appointed to dispute resolution team

Fladgate LLP has announced the appointment of Milan Kapadia as a partner in its dispute resolution team. He joins from RWK Goodman, where he was partner and head of the London disputes resolution team, and led the firm’s banking sector group.

Kapadia brings more than 20 years’ experience in banking disputes, commercial and civil litigation, and insolvency matters. He has advised corporates, insolvency practitioners and individuals on high-value claims, with particular strength in complex, cross-border disputes involving financial institutions.

He is well known for his international practice, frequently acting for Indian banks and working on disputes across multiple jurisdictions, including recent matters involving Nirav Modi and Essar Group. At Fladgate, he will support clients across a broad range of disputes and commercial litigation, and work closely with the firm’s India Desk.

Commenting on his move, Kapadia said: ‘I’m proud to be joining Fladgate’s leading dispute resolution team’, adding that the firm’s ‘international outlook’ and ‘entrepreneurial culture’ made it ‘a natural fit’. John Evans, head of dispute resolution, said Kapadia’s arrival ‘adds further depth to our disputes bench’, while managing partner Grant Gordon noted that his experience ‘aligns with our strategic focus on international clients and emerging markets’.
