Law firm Kingsley Napley has become the first law firm to sign the Menopause Workplace Pledge, run by the Wellbeing of Women charity

The firm has committed to: recognising the menopause is an issue in the workplace; talking openly, positively and respectfully about the menopause; and actively supporting and informing employees and partners affected by the menopause.

Kingsley Napley’s managing partner Linda Woolley said: ‘Kingsley Napley has long been a female-friendly law firm with women currently making up 55% of our partnership and 70% of our overall population. We believe strongly in supporting women of all ages in the workforce, not only via direct support but also by encouraging others in our community to be supportive.’

According to the charity Wellbeing of Women, almost 900,000 women in the UK have quit their jobs due to the menopause. The charity advocates that by supporting people affected by the menopause at work, employers can help to increase staff retention, reduce recruitment costs, improve productivity and wellbeing and ensure a more diverse workforce.
