Lawyers from the UK and around Europe are gathering in Rome this week for the annual European Pro Bono forum, run by non-governmental organisation PILnet. It brings together individuals from law firms, corporations, bar organisations, NGOs, and law schools for a series of workshops, structured networking events and discussions on how best to address issues of social justice. Speakers include the UN special rapporteur on trafficking in persons, the global pro bono adviser for Linklaters, and the head of Oxfam, Italy. Last year’s forum, in London, attracted 400 delegates.
