The new chief executive of Her Majesty’s Courts Service (HMCS) is Chris Mayer, currently HMCS Regional Director for the North West Region, the Ministry of Justice has announced. Accountable for day to day operations of HMCS, Mayer’s task will be to drive culture change, look at new and more efficient ways of working and advise the newly created HMCS Board and ministers on the delivery of services through the courts.
