Clarification for rules for in-house solicitors
The rules for in-house solicitors who provide legal services to third parties are to be clarified, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has said. Many solicitors act for their employer and for other clients as well. The SRA is consulting on changes to its Practice Framework Rules that will set out the circumstances in which this may be done. The consultation, which affects Rules 4 and 22, closes on 23 April.
