Chris Baguley, Managing Director of Bridging Finance Limited, has been appointed the new Chairman of Pro Manchester and promises to help the organisation move “back to its roots” as a business development organisation.

He pledges to help increase the market share won by its members and the profile of the professional and financial services sector, as well as build on relationships with key organisations, such as the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of British Industry.

When discussing the new objectives, Chris says, “It is clear that firms want to get back to the business in hand and appear to have an appetite once more to seek out opportunities for growth. Therefore, my plan for the coming year is to get pro∙manchester back to basics with the aim of bringing more business to our members.” *

The focus for the upcoming year will be on the development of initiatives, such as the Corporate Outreach Enterprise, which aims to raise the profile of the sector and present members with increased business opportunities.

There are plans to hold a Greater Manchester Financial and Professional Sector Conference next March, which will be aimed at chairmen, chief executives and financial directors from both large corporations and SMEs across the North West.

On his appointment Chris says, “Manchester is one of the best cities in the world to do business and pro∙manchester plays a significant role in broadcasting this fact to the national and international business communities. I look forward to continuing to promote the benefits of pro∙manchester and would strongly recommend membership to any local firm that is not yet involved. I feel that being involved with pro∙manchester is partially responsible for the level of success Bridging Finance Limited has achieved. I very much look forward to actively participating in the future success of pro∙manchester.”
