The Bar Standards Board has published its latest annual report, which summarises its activities during the 2015-16 business year. Key achievements in 2015-16 include piloting a more flexible Continuing Professional Development (CPD) regime for barristers in preparation for its roll-out in 2017; undertaking research into women’s experiences at the Bar; and starting a review of immigration advice and services. During the period of its last strategic plan, which was adopted in 2013, the BSB has reduced the overall cost of regulation by two per cent.
