The Bar Council has launched the seventh Bar Placement Week in London in partnership with the Social Mobility Foundation. Some 75 high-achieving Year 12 students (aged 17) from low-income backgrounds from across the capital will take part in the week, which involves a three-and-a-half day placement with a barrister, a visit to either the Royal Courts of Justice or the UK Supreme Court, and a workshop on how to argue like a barrister, led by the Advocacy Training Council. A Birmingham Bar Placement Week will be held from 14 to 18 July.
