Mental health charity Mind BWW received a boost this week, thanks to drug, alcohol and DNA testing laboratory AlphaBiolabs’ Giving Back campaign

Under the campaign, the name of every AlphaBiolabs family law and social work customer is entered into a bimonthly charity draw. A customer is then randomly selected to nominate a charity of their choice to receive a £500 donation.

The winner of this round was family law solicitor Sophie Sibley (pictured) of London law firm Hanne & Co, who selected the local branch of national mental health charity Mind—Mind Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster (Mind BWW)—as her chosen charity.

Sibley said: ‘Hanne & Co has been in Wandsworth for over 126 years, and our local community is incredibly important to us.

‘Mind BWW is our charity of the year, and the work it does profoundly impacts our community, providing essential support and resources to those in need. This donation will help Mind BWW expand its reach, offer more services, and make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues.’

Charlotte Fletcher, director of business development & innovation at Mind BWW, said: ‘The importance of donations like this cannot be underestimated.

‘We would like to thank Sophie and AlphaBiolabs for their support as we work to improve mental health and wellbeing for communities in the heart of London.’

AlphaBiolabs provides a wide range of legally instructed DNA, drug and alcohol testing services in the UK. Its client base spans family law and immigration solicitors, social services and local authorities.

Rachel Davenport, director at AlphaBiolabs, said: ‘Looking out for the wellbeing of others is an integral part of what we do as a business, and we are proud to contribute to a cause that is so closely aligned with our own values.’

Look out for the next Giving Back charity draw at the end of August.
