New partner for the firm in London

Litigation specialist Alius Law has announced the appointment of Ben Drew as a partner in London. Ben joins from Fladgate, where he was a partner and co-head of the insolvency and restructuring group.

Ben’s practice focuses on disputes involving financial distress, insolvency and fraud, with a focus on the financial services sector. His clients include financial services firms, banks and well-known insolvency practitioners, as well as high-net worth individuals and family offices.

Bree Taylor, partner and founder of Alius Law, said: ‘We are thrilled to welcome Ben to Alius Law. His depth of experience and client-centric approach are perfectly suited to our firm, where every one of us has a financial interest in the firm’s success.

‘As Alius Law continues to grow, we look forward to attracting ambitious and like-minded senior litigators who are leaders in their fields and eager to own and grow their practices without the constraints and distractions that are all too common at larger multi-disciplinary law firms.’

Commenting on his appointment, Ben said: ‘Alius Law is a really exciting and refreshing litigation-only firm that has built a strong reputation in the London market amongst its peers and I have been fortunate enough to work with several of the partners here. What attracted me most is the firm’s clarity of purpose and that delivering successful outcomes for my clients will always be my priority, as it is for my fellow partners.

‘I look forward to working alongside these first-class litigators, who are also motivated by the autonomy and ownership culture at Alius Law, which has successfully turned the traditional law firm business model on its head.’
