Dixon will take office in October 2024, become vice president in 2025 and president in 2026. He is a consultant solicitor with London firm Scott Moncrieff & Co, specialising in strategic litigation, but has mainly worked in Manchester and the Northwest since being admitted as a solicitor in 1999.
Dixon was a member of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee for six years, and is now the sole expert legal member of the Online Procedure Rule Committee.
He said: ‘I will chart a course through digital change to ensure that the legal profession remains innovative and adaptable in the face of evolving technologies as well as promote a diverse and inclusive profession.’
